Community Fundraising
Fundraising in your community whether it be with your social club, school, workplace or with your friends is fun and rewarding. All donations raised in your community will make a difference. The following is an example of how the funds you raise can help UNHCR to provide the vital items needed by refugees. $50 can provide plastic sheeting to shelter 5 refugee families in an emergency. $114 can provide an all-season tent, protecting a family from the hot sun, harsh winds and torrential rain. $360 can sink a well, providing safe drinking water for a camp of displaced people. You may wish to donate your funds to a particular appeal which you can find more about here. Registration of your fundraiserTo fundraise for Australia for UNHCR you must be registered with us as your fundraising activity needs to be approved by us before you can commence. This enables us to answer your queries and satisfy government regulations. After you let us know what fundraising activities you are undertaking we will send written confirmation of approval for your fundraiser, including an Authority to Fundraise on our behalf. If you are interested in fundraising for Australia for UNHCR please complete the Community Fundraiser Registration Form and the Community Fundraising Proposal Form and send or fax both documents to us. All activities need to be approved before you can start. All registered fundraisers will be sent an information kit which will help you to plan your activity.
